Kennedy has played every game this season on their home field, but they'll have to hit the road on Saturday. They will take on the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Two weeks ago, Kennedy got themselves on the board against Richmond, but Richmond never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 20-0 margin over the Oilers.
Meanwhile, St. Vincent de Paul was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Maria Carrillo 42-14 on the road. St. Vincent de Paul pushed the score to 35-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Maria Carrillo cut but never quite recovered from.
Jack Davis and Gabe Casanovas were among the main playmakers for St. Vincent de Paul as the former gained 138 total yards and three touchdowns and the latter rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Casanovas was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. Mason Caturegli and his 89 yards on the ground were also a key factor in St. Vincent de Paul's victory.
Their wins bumped Kennedy to 7-3 and St. Vincent de Paul to 8-2.
