The Roxana Shells scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 59-34 margin over East Alton-Wood River. That 59-34 margin sets a new team best for Roxana this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roxana to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Maberry, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. Maberry also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Chris Walleck, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Roxana now has a winning record of 5-4. As for East Alton-Wood River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.
Roxana will head out on the road to face off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Alton-Wood River will be home for the holidays to greet Salem at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Salem is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
