Mead is 0-3 against the Bulldogs since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mead Raiders will take on the Auburn Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. Mead comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Mead struggled with three-point shooting accuracy on Tuesday (the Knights were 31% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Mead was outmatched by the Knights on the road and fell 61-5. Mead was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-2.
Taylar Shull was Mead's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Emily Kuhr held things down on the boards with three rebounds.
Meanwhile, Auburn came up short against the Panthers on Tuesday and fell 46-39.
Mead dropped their record down to 0-17 with that defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
Things could have been worse for Mead, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-40 loss to the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2022. Can Mead avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
