It was a good run, but the Ramsey Rams unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Northern Highlands 41-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Ramsey has scored all season.
Northern Highlands was led to victory by Freddie Kanning and Lucas Dipasupil. Kanning scored 13 points along with seven rebounds, while Dipasupil scored 16 points along with three steals. Kanning continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Sawyer Chapler was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five rebounds.
Ramsey's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-1. As for Northern Highlands, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.
Ramsey will stay at home for another game and welcome Cliffside Park at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Cliffside Park will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while Ramsey is ranked 21st). Northern Highlands will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Paramus at 4:15 p.m. on January 17th.
