The Bennington Badgers put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Crete 65-7 at home. The result was nothing new for Bennington, who have now won six matches by 21 points or more so far this season.
Quinton Archer continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 75 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Sanmann, who rushed for 80 yards on only six carries.
Bennington's victory was their 13th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.8 points per game. As for Crete, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Bennington will take on Norris at TBD on Friday. Norris knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Bennington likes a good challenge. Crete does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
