In what's become a running theme this season, the Evergreen Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 53-23 win over Conifer on the road. With Evergreen ahead 32-4 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Evergreen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Bailey, who scored seven points along with seven steals. Elle Buenning was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Conifer lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Megan Swearengin, who scored nine points. That was a full 39.1% of Conifer's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eleanor Sikora, who scored six points.
Evergreen is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Conifer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

As for Conifer, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Golden at 6:00 p.m. Conifer is coming into the match with six straight defeats at home, meaning Golden will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
