They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 46-14 win over Hays. The result was nothing new for Wagner, who have now won five matches by 28 points or more so far this season.
Wagner's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but William Reynolds led the charge by rushing for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Juan'yae Taylor and his 81 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Wagner's victory.
Wagner has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Hays, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.
Wagner will be playing in front of their home fans against Seguin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Seguin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 467th, while Wagner is ranked 137th). As for Hays, they will head out on the road to face off against Smithson Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smithson Valley will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
