Woodrow Wilson won the last time they faced Riverside and things went their way on Thursday too. The Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles blew past the Riverside Warriors 56-24. The Flying Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Woodrow Wilson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Donya Burton, who went 7-for-14 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave Burton a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoey Williams, who went 7-for-15 en route to 17 points.

Despite the loss, Riverside still got an impressive performance from Cianna Groom, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine boards. Groom is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last four games she's played.

The win made it two in a row for Woodrow Wilson and bumps their season record up to 9-7. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32 points. As for Riverside, they dropped their record down to 3-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Woodrow Wilson will take on Shady Spring at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Riverside, they will challenge Huntington at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Riverside is facing Huntington at the right time seeing as Huntington is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
