Even though the Neville Tigers scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, the Denham Springs Yellowjackets still came out on top. Denham Springs walked away with a 63-56 win over Neville.
Neville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jayson Parker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Stephon Simmons was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Denham Springs' victory bumped their record up to 16-3. As for Neville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.
Denham Springs and Episcopal will face off at 5:00 p.m. on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Neville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wossman at 5:45 p.m. on January 4th. Wossman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,004 points over their last 14 matchups.
