Archbishop McNicholas has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They and the Badin Rams will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Archbishop McNicholas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Archbishop McNicholas came up short against Anderson and fell 60-52.
Despite their defeat, Archbishop McNicholas saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Andrew Ehlers, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Joey Thomas, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Badin was able to grind out a solid victory over Preble Shawnee on Saturday, taking the game 45-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Badin.
Archbishop McNicholas has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season. As for Badin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.
Archbishop McNicholas strolled past Badin in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 47-30. Will Archbishop McNicholas repeat their success, or does Badin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
