Ribault has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Raines Vikings at TBD on Thursday. Ribault knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Raines likes a good challenge.
Ribault had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat West Nassau 90-31 at home. Ribault has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 20 points or more this season.
Caleb Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 19 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaheim Robinson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Raines didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Fletcher last Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 53-48 victory. Given Raines' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while Fletcher is ranked 321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Ribault's victory was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Raines, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Ribault came up short against Raines in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 69-59. Can Ribault avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
