If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Paola. They will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Ottawa at 7:00 PM. Paola will be hoping to build upon the 24-0 win they picked up against Ottawa the last time they played.
Paola took the contest and then some with a 42-0 win last week over Fort Scott. With Paola ahead 28-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-49, which was the final score in Ottawa's tilt against Spring Hill. This makes it the second loss in a row for Ottawa.
Paola's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Ottawa's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Paola can add another positive mark to their record or if Ottawa can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Paola's step.
