Football Recap: Lathrop Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lathrop extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-0. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 26-22 W against the North Platte Panthers. For the Mules, this counts as revenge for the 26-20 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Platte fell to 2-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, North Platte had strong showings from Dylan Armstrong, who threw for 127 yards and one touchdown, and Ben Horsley, who rushed for 29 yards and a pair of TDs.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lathrop will take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Platte, they will face off against East Buchanan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
