With a playoff game on the line, the Gulf Shores Dolphins rose to the challenge on Friday. Everything went their way against the Rams as they made off with a 35-14 victory. The result was nothing new for Gulf Shores, who have now won 11 games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Leading Gulf Shores to victory were Kolin Wilson and Ronnie Royal. Wilson rushed for 153 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, while Royal rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
The victory for Gulf Shores keeps them at an undefeated 13-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.69 points. As for Headland, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-3.
Gulf Shores will take on Eufaula at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eufaula is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games. Headland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
