Lake Placid and Hardee are an even 5-5 against one another  since December of 2016, but  not for long. The Lake Placid Dragons will be playing at home against the Hardee Wildcats at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Lake Placid focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
 Lake Placid's game  was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a  44-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of DeSoto County. Lake Placid has struggled against DeSoto County recently, as their  match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
 Lake Placid's  loss came about despite a quality game from  Antranique Felton, who  scored 13 points along with 8  rebounds and 3  steals. The  matchup was  Felton's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Taraje Walker, who  scored 7 points along with 6  rebounds.
 Meanwhile,  after only 23  points in their last  match, Hardee made sure to put some  points up on the board against Oasis Christian  on Tuesday. Hardee breezed by Oasis Christian at home  to the tune of  55-12.
 Hardee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Rihanna Frederick led the charge by  scoring 13 points along with 6  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alexandra Jackson, who  scored 13 points along with 9  rebounds and 6  steals.
 Their wins bumped Lake Placid to 2-1 and DeSoto County to 2-0.
This contest  is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor:  Lake Placid  have been smashing the glass this season,  having  averaged 23.3  rebounds per game. However, it's not like Hardee struggles in that department as   they've been even better at 28.3  per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.  Lake Placid didn't have too much breathing room in their  match against Hardee  in their previous matchup  back in January, but they still walked away with a  33-27 win. Will Lake Placid repeat their success,  or does  Hardee have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
