Colton McCaleb made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Maddox Armour was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Williamston had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Saturday. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Falcons.
Mason pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Williamston, their win bumped their record up to 17-1.
