The Dorchester Academy Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They slipped by Andrew Jackson Academy 62-61. The win was some much needed relief for Dorchester Academy as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Andrew Jackson Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Carter Brown, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Brown has scored all season. Hayden McClung was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with three steals.
Dorchester Academy now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-13.
Dorchester Academy will head out on the road to square off against Calhoun Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Andrew Jackson Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cathedral Academy at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday.
