Waverly is a perfect 10-0 against Norris since October of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Vikings will welcome the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Norris will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Waverly extended their winning streak to seven on Friday. The Vikings blew past Plattsmouth 55-13. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Blue Devils are ranked 58th).

Brockston Teply
10/10/25 @ Plattsmouth | 3 |
10/03/25 @ Beatrice | 3 |
09/26/25 vs Standing Bear | 3 |
09/18/25 @ Elkhorn | 3 |
Waverly can attribute much of their success to Nathan Axmann, who gained 187 total yards and three touchdowns, and Brockston Teply, who threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. Teply is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Waverly didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Plattsmouth to a completion percentage of just 47.8%. The Vikings hasn't an opponent to post a completion percentage of 0.6 or higher in five consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Norris never let their opponents score on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Beatrice 45-0. The Titans have beaten the Orangemen the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Orangemen has come to flipping the script.
Waverly better focus on containing Evan Greenfield and Markus Nelson as the pair were huge in Norris' win. Greenfield threw for 217 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes, while Nelson rushed for 138 yards and one score on only five carries. Nelson got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 77 yards. Norris' leading receiver Chris Garner Jr. was Greenfield's top target yet again, picking up 37 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Norris didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kyson Gana and Chase Ehlers.
Norris' victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Waverly, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-0.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Waverly has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 182.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Norris struggles in that department as they've been averaging 239.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Waverly barely slipped by Norris in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 17-16. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Titans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
