Despite the defeat, Miller County had strong showings from Hannah Cratic, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds, and Trenity Johnson, who scored 4 points along with 6 rebounds. Cratic is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.
Stewart County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Miller County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stewart County will face off against Terrell County at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Terrell County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57 points per game. As for Miller County, they will head out on the road to face off against Pataula Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pataula Charter Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
