Maranatha Christian is 7-2 against Orange Glen since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Patriots at 3:30 p.m. Maranatha Christian will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
On Wednesday, Maranatha Christian made easy work of Guajome Park Academy and carried off a 25-2 victory. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Hannah Visser and Lillian Visser were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Visser struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Lillian pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hannah has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. At bat, Visser went 4-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Lillian went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Hannah a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hope Fitzherbert was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeline Petray, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Maranatha Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .605. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Orange Glen was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 20-1 to La Jolla Country Day. The game marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Maranatha Christian pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Orange Glen, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.
