Given Old Suwanee Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Trinity Prep is ranked 496th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Anna Dunagan, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haylee Zavala, who scored six points.
Old Suwanee Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. As for Trinity Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Old Suwanee Christian will square off against Peoples Baptist Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Old Suwanee Christian comes in on four and Peoples Baptist Academy on three. As for Trinity Prep, they will square off against Academe of the Oaks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Academe of the Oaks is coming into the game with three straight losses on the road, meaning Trinity Prep will have to defend against a team hungry for a victory.
