After a string of six wins, Buckley's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were beaten by the Olympian Eagles 78-45. While losing is never fun, the Griffins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 431st, while the Eagles are ranked 56th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olympian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mathew Huertas, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Huertas a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nijil Sherrard, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 13 points.

Buckley's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Olympian, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.

Buckley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-34 win against Liberty Charter on the 28th. Olympian has also already played their next match, a 60-56 defeat against Francis Parker on the 28th.
