There's no place like home for the River Ridge Wildcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They walked away with a 60-50 victory over Ashton-Franklin Center on Saturday. That's another feather in the cap for River Ridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Among those leading the charge was Ethan Walters, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Joe Winter was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
River Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. River Ridge will square off against West Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Carroll is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Ashton-Franklin Center, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastland at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Eastland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ashton-Franklin Center in Illinois (Eastland is ranked 204th, while Ashton-Franklin Center is ranked 732nd).
