Brentwood Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Texas School for the Deaf Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Brentwood Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
Even though Regents scored an imposing 59 points on Friday, Brentwood Christian still came out on top. Brentwood Christian walked away with a 72-59 victory over Regents.
Meanwhile, Texas School for the Deaf came up short against Indiana School for the Deaf on Thursday and fell 45-35. While losing is never fun, Texas School for the Deaf can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 1217th in Texas, while Indiana School for the Deaf is ranked 298th in Indiana).
Brentwood Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season. As for Texas School for the Deaf, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.
Everything came up roses for Brentwood Christian against Texas School for the Deaf in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 74-15 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brentwood Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
