The San Clemente Tritons will challenge the Coronado Cougars at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
 Last Friday, San Clemente came up short against Murrieta Valley  and fell  35-25. The Tritons haven't had much luck with the Nighthawks recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 The match pitted two dominant  backs against one another in  Colin Kohl and  Dorian Hoze. Hoze had a great game and rushed for 210 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Meanwhile,  Kohl was balling out in the loss, rushing for 53 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 79 receiving yards.
 Meanwhile, Coronado faced Basic in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Coronado took their  contest on the road  with ease, bagging  a  49-10 win over Basic. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won four games by 21  points or more  so far this season.

 San Clemente's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Coronado, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
