After flying high against the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins on Tuesday, the Brownsburg Bulldogs came back down to earth. Brownsburg took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Franklin Central. Brownsburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Franklin Central apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Franklin Central's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashlee Baker, who scored 15 points. Baker continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Lily Graves was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 assists.
Brownsburg has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Franklin Central, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brownsburg will face off against Bedford North Lawrence at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. As for Franklin Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Lawrence Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence Central is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
