The Bloomfield Bees fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the Boyd County Spartans on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 47-44. Bloomfield lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Madison Abbenhaus, who scored 13 points. It was another big night for Paige Drueke, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds for Boyd County. Drueke is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Birmeier, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Boyd County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-7.
