The Stratton Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Hi-Plains 73-37 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-18.
Cyler Notter was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with three steals and three blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Von Isenbart, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
When it comes to explaining why Hi-Plains lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bex Seaman. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds.
Stratton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Hi-Plains, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stratton will take on Eads at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Eads focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 last Saturday. As for Hi-Plains, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Cheylin at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Cheylin is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 64.4 points per game.
