Section 9 C-I recap October 1, 2013
O'Neill added to the longest winning streak in Section 9 C-I this week by beating Spackenkill, 14-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Onteora fell to Burke Catholic 54-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
The Eagles' dynamic duo of Justin Fenical and Stephen Cushing proved tough for the Indians to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Fenical threw for 117 yards and Cushing had 73 yards receiving. Josh Fenical helped Burke Catholic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 26 yards.
O'Neill's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Raiders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Keegan West has thrown for 363 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Malik Chambers has 9 catches for 118 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Onteora takes on Ellenville. Justin Kight's team is in third place, while the Blue Devils are in fourth place.
Burke Catholic led the league in scoring this week by notching 54 points on the Indians. Stephon Sander ran for 143 yards during the win.
