Chancellor has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Spotsylvania Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Chancellor pushed their score all the way to 57 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between Chancellor and Henrico wasn't particularly close, with Chancellor falling 74-57. While losing is never fun, Chancellor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while Henrico is ranked 50th).
The losing side was boosted by Ja?Den Mckoy, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. He scored a full 35.1% of Chancellor's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Cash Dodson , who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Spotsylvania's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 51-43 win over Rappahannock. The win was just what Spotsylvania needed coming off of a 65-24 loss in their prior contest.
Their wins bumped Chancellor to 1-4 and Henrico to 3-1.
Chancellor couldn't quite finish off Spotsylvania when the teams last played back in January and fell 57-55. Can Chancellor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
