Joseph Talas looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.
On the hitting side, William Strand was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Liu Rodriguez Jr was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, ALA - Gilbert North never let their opponents score on Thursday. They put the hurt on Eastmark with a sharp 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Firebirds: they've now won five in a row.
ALA - Gilbert North also got a great performance from Braden Maine as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Maine has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Luke Genet, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Matix Dunn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
ALA - Gilbert North kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in six consecutive matchups.
ALA - Gilbert North's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Centennial, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
