Wilbraham & Monson Academy had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 1-10 to make it eight. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-0 to the Salisbury School Crimson Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crimson Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Wednesday.
As for Salisbury School, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.
For Salisbury School's part, Blake Taylor looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Taylor has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Salisbury School let Nasir Stevenson and Michael Fiatarone run wild. Stevenson went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Fiatarone got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That triple was Stevenson's first of the season. Kaleb Traylor was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
