Wagoner took care of business in their home opener. They won a game that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Coweta 28-27. That result is just more of the same for Wagoner, who also won the last time these teams played.
Wagoner got off to a sluggish start, posting 0 total points in the first half. That left them at a 0-14 disadvantage. The Wagoner offense took control in the second half, however, scoring 28 points. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 0-0.
Wagoner will look to defend their home turf next week against Pryor at 7:00 PM. As for Coweta, they will face off against Tahlequah.
