Chestnut Ridge has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Richland Rams at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Chestnut Ridge knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully Richland likes a good challenge.
Chestnut Ridge put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bedford 90-62 at home. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Richland waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Somerset with points to spare, taking the game 67-48.
Chestnut Ridge's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.8 points per game. As for Richland, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
Chestnut Ridge didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Richland when the teams last played back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-52 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Chestnut Ridge since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
