Bothell has gone a perfect 10-0 against Skyline recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Bothell has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Tuesday, Bothell didn't have quite enough to beat Eastlake and fell 12-11.

Noelle Solvang made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kolbi Schmer, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Skyline faced Issaquah in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Eagles 7-5.

Abby Haapala tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2024.

On the hitting side, Shea Staley was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Devyn Wilson was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Skyline is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Bothell, they dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything went Bothell's way against Skyline in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Bothell made off with a 7-1 win. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
