Baseball Recap: Pleasant Grove Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pleasant Grove won the last time they faced Van and things went their way on Friday too. The Pleasant Grove Hawks put the hurt on the Van Vandals with a sharp 16-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Pleasant Grove's third in a row) raised their record to 17-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Van, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant Grove will take on North Lamar at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Grove's pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so North Lamar's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Van, they will face off against Bullard at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Van 4.1, Bullard 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
