The Tom Bean Tomcats struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (the Celeste Blue Devils had eight more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Tom Bean fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 36-33. Tom Bean has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Tom Bean still got an impressive performance from Allie Hickman, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and three blocks.
Taylea West continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Celeste, scoring 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which West has scored at least a third of Celeste's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddieclaire Park, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and seven steals.
Tom Bean has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season. As for Celeste, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 19-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tom Bean will take on the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Trenton has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 2. As for Celeste, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
