The Cerritos Dons are on the road again on Friday and play against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Cerritos had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 24-12 victory over Fillmore.
Dikshanta Adhikari was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Adhikari was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards. Josh Park was another key contributor, rushing for 70 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Meanwhile, even though Victor Valley scored an imposing 48 points on Friday, Western Christian still came out on top. Western Christian had just enough and edged Victor Valley out 50-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Western Christian.
Jared Doolittle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 368 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 87 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Doolittle has been hot recently, having posted 300 or more passing yards the last four times he's played. Elijah Vasquez also helped out with an impressive 136 receiving yards.
Cerritos now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Western Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.
