Despite the defeat, Plaza Heights Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reece Cornine scored 14 points along with 3 steals. Cornine scored a full 48.3% of Plaza Heights Christian Academy's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Emma Tucker, who scored 2 points along with 3 steals.
Leading Christian Learning Center to victory were Rylie Allen and Micah Bean. Allen dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds, while Bean scored 7 points along with 10 rebounds and 7 steals. The game was Allen's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Plaza Heights Christian Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Christian Learning Center, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Plaza Heights Christian Academy will take on Christian Fellowship at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Christian Fellowship focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Christian Learning Center, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Overland Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
