Branson/Kim have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Saturday they will take on Mountain Valley at 3:00 PM. The teams both have set a high bar for this game after stand-out offensive performances in their previous contests.
After constant struggles on the road, Branson/Kim have finally found some success away from home. They took their matchup against Primero two weeks ago 47-39. Junior Teagan Keeler, who picked up 105 yards on the ground and snatched 1 receiving TD, was a major factor in Branson/Kim's success. In fact, with nine tackles Keeler was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Mountain Valley against Cripple Creek-Victor last Saturday as the squad secured a 68-7 win.
Their wins bumped Branson/Kim to 1-5 and Mountain Valley to 6-0. In Mountain Valley's victory, senior Isaih Wellman rushed for 104 yards and 3 touchdowns and sophomore Salvador Vigil picked up 57 yards on the ground and threw 2 TDs. We'll see if Branson/Kim have a strategy for dealing with them or if they lead their team to another successful outing.
