The Forest Hill Falcons pushed their score all the way to 70 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 90-70 walloping at the hands of Wellington. While losing is never fun, Forest Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Wolverines are ranked 44th).
When it comes to explaining why Forest Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Travis Mcintyre. Despite the final result, he scored 34 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mcintyre has scored all season.
Forest Hill dropped their record down to 8-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Wellington, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.
Forest Hill will be playing at home against the Lancers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Leonard focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday. As for Wellington, they and the Cobras will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
