When it comes to explaining why Vista del Lago lost, one person who can't be blamed is Freddy Alarcon. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Harvey, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Maurice Turner was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds for Lakeside. Turner has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Andrew Knudson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 17 rebounds and two blocks.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Paloma Valley the next time they take the court. Lakeside will host Paloma Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Vista del Lago will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
