After flying high against Fort Bend Marshall last Tuesday, Victoria East came back down to earth. Victoria East lost 19-2 to the Lamar Consolidated Mustangs on Friday. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Victoria East's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-13. As for Lamar Consolidated, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Victoria East is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Bend Kempner at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lamar Consolidated will challenge rival Victoria West at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
