Miller has been on the road for two straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Grove City Christian Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Miller struggled with offensive rebounds on Tuesday (the Bishops had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Miller took a hard 53-38 fall against the Bishops. Miller has not had much luck with the Bishops recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Miller had strong showings from Abby Keller, who scored 14 points, and Heather West, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Grove City Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Columbus Academy, falling 70-26. Grove City Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-17.
Miller's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-16. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.0 points per game. As for Grove City Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Miller was taken down by the Eagles 40-12 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Will Miller have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
