Kennedy will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Linn-Mar . Kennedy have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Kennedy had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Jefferson last Friday as they made off with a 34-0 win.
Meanwhile, Linn-Mar had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They had victory within their grasp but couldn't quite capture it last week as the team lost 6-7 to Dubuque Senior.
Kennedy's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Linn-Mar's loss dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Kennedy can add another positive mark to their record or if Linn-Mar can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Kennedy's step.
