On Wednesday, Freeman earned a 54-44 win over Royal.
Freeman was led to victory by Natalie Semprimoznik and Taylee Phelps. Semprimoznik scored 14 points, while Phelps scored 20 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which Phelps has scored at least 25% of Freeman's points.
Freeman's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Royal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freeman won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Kellogg at 3:30 p.m. on December 28th. Kellogg is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Royal will finish 2023 at home by hosting Manson at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manson is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
