The Windsor Wizards posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Longmont 52-21 at home. With Windsor ahead 32-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Windsor got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Reyleigh Hess out in front who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Brooklyn Jiricek was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Despite the loss, Longmont had strong showings from Savannah Pohl, who scored seven points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks, and Maya Pears, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
The win got Windsor back to even at 5-5. As for Longmont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.
Windsor will head out on the road to square off against Greeley West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Greeley West will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 216th, while Windsor is ranked 35th). As for Longmont, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Greeley Central at 5:30 p.m. Greeley Central is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
