Pioneer has won four straight games at home, while LaVille has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Panthers will host the Lancers at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Pioneer is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 45-14 victory over Carroll. With the Panthers ahead 31-7 at the half, the game was all but over already.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Shiloh Rine and Noah Vanmeter. Rine rushed for 150 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries while Vanmeter rushed for 162 yards and one TD. Those 150 rushing yards gave Rine a new career-high.
Pioneer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 455 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely LaVille's strategy against West Central on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Lancers blew the Trojans out of the water with a 49-6 final score. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Lancers had established a 29-point advantage.
Pioneer better keep an eye on Cole Stafford. He was instrumental in LaVille's win, rushing for 227 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry, and also picking up 45 receiving yards. Stafford has become a key player for the Lancers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least 100 rushing yards, but 3-4 otherwise. Konnor Amor made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for LaVille, racking up 11 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Chase Lee, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
LaVille's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Pioneer, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.
Pioneer lost to LaVille at home by a decisive 29-13 margin in their previous meeting back in September of 2023. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more football content.
