The Smithson Valley Rangers extended their postseason success on Friday against the College Station Cougars. They snuck past the Cougars with a 26-21 win. Smithson Valley is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 12 straight.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Arrington Maiden, who threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Smithson Valley's win bumped their record up to 12-1. As for College Station, their loss dropped their record down to 11-2.
Smithson Valley is on the road again on Friday and play against A&M Consolidated. The pair have allowed few points on average, (A&M Consolidated: 16.3, Smithson Valley: 12) so any points scored will be well earned. College Station does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
