The Morgan Huskies entered their tilt with the Westbrook Knights with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Morgan took down Westbrook 52-37 on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Morgan also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Morgan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sadie Passante, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Passante pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ava Johnson, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Morgan's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for Westbrook, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Morgan will be playing at home against Hale Ray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westbrook, they will head out on the road to square off against East Hampton at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Hampton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Westbrook likes a good challenge.
